The purpose of this article is to describe the specifications, classifications and special designs of RJ sockets/modules. If you want to know about RJ sockets/modules, please read this article.
First, an introduction to the specifications.
The commonly used RJ45 unshielded module is 2cm high, 2cm wide and 3cm thick. The plastic body possesses strength, fireproofness, and easy attachment to any M Series panel, bracket, or box.
Modules use T568-A and T568-B wiring common labels. This kind of module is the most commonly used module in integrated wiring systems. Regardless of Category 3, Category 5, or Category 5e and Category 6, its appearance remains quite consistent.
Secondly, about the introduction of classification.
The wiring structure and appearance of information modules from different manufacturers are also inconsistent, and the classification methods are also different.
The RJ45 module has four installation standards: embedded, carpet, desktop, and universal.
According to the shielding performance, it is divided into unshielded modules and shielded modules.
The information module can be either wired or wireless, depending on whether wiring is needed during termination. Wired info modules need a special tool to press twisted pair wires into the module's wiring slot. The tool-free wiring design is also a reflection of the user-friendly design of the module. This kind of module does not require the use of special tools when terminating.
According to the different wiring locations, it is divided into two types: upper termination and tail termination. Most products adopt the upper termination method.
Finally, an introduction to folding design.
The built-in dust cover series sockets feature a spring-loaded built-in dust cover that automatically retracts and pops out when the jumper plug is inserted and removed.
In order to facilitate the user's plug-in installation, a 45° oblique angle can be used. To achieve this goal, a panel with a 45° bevel is added to the standard module, or the module mounting end can be directly designed with a 45° bevel.
