If you use twisted pair wiring, this becomes very simple. If a network cable fails somewhere, it will generally not cause the entire network to be paralyzed. Under normal circumstances, it will only affect the computer or device connected to the twisted pair.
This generally does not cause network paralysis. But using twisted pair requires adding a hub or switch to the network. This also means increased network costs.
