What is the difference between RJ45 and RJ11? This article will briefly describe the difference between RJ45 and RJ11.
What is RJ45?
A type of information socket connector in the wiring system. The connector consists of a plug and a socket. The plug has 8 grooves and 8 contacts.
What is RJ11?
The interface bears a remarkable resemblance to the RJ45 interface, however, it only contains 4 pins (compared to the 8 pins of RJ45). RJ11 is primarily used by computer systems for modem connections.

What's the difference between the two?(RJ11 vs.RJ45)
Various standards, various dimensions. (RJ11 incorporates 6P6C\6P4C\4P4C\4P2C, where C signifies the number of gold pins on the crystal head; RJ45 is equipped with 8P8C)
Due to the different sizes of the two (RJ11 is 4 or 6 pins, RJ45 is an 8-pin connection device). Apparently an RJ45 plug cannot be plugged into an RJ11 jack.
The RJ11 plug is smaller than the RJ45 jack. Some people think they can be used together. However, that's not true.
This is not advisable. We highly suggest avoiding the use of RJ11 plugs with RJ45 sockets.
RJ11 is not globally standardized, meaning its dimensions, insertion force, insertion angle, and so forth do not consistently meet international standard connector design specifications. Interoperability is therefore not guaranteed.
They even cause the destruction of both. The small RJ11 plug can damage the metal pins of the larger RJ45 jack. This happens when the plug is inserted because of the plastic parts on both sides of the plug.
